GR79-0722-4280, Colt M-1862 Police, .36 cal, 5 shot, 5 1/2 inch barrel. BLOWOUT

$800.00

GR79-0722-4280, Colt M-1862 Police, .36 cal, 5 shot, 5 1/2 inch barrel. Overall mottled brown with spots of surface residue and mottled staining. There are just traces of case color on the frame. The grips are fine to excellent with 90% original varnish, with a few light bumps and dings with minor edge loss. Functional with 3 clicks in hammer. Clear barrel address. The bore is bright, shiny, crisply rifled with traces of blue still inbore. There are a few very fine spots, a little bit of light residue in a couple of places that looks like it will clean out and traces of blue still in bore. Much better than average bore. Serial #10xxx matching on the bottom of the gun with one number lightly stamped on the trigger guard. The number on the wedge does not match. On the back of the cylinder I can make out 1 number, the number 7 and there is no number 7 on the frame number. Made in 1862. The wedge has a number, but it does not match. Trace of silver on brass with overall light bumps, dings and use marks.
