GR79-0522-4133, Savage Navy .36. BLOWOUT

$1,150.00

GR79-0522-4133, Savage Navy .36, 6 shot, scattered fine pinpricks all over the exterior surface. Frame address is visible but a little faint from wear. The grips are wider than normal Savage Navy Grips. The gun is an early gun, with serial number 286 on the frame. Were early Savage Navy grips a different contour than later guns? I do not recall. If they are not original to the gun they are incredibly carved replacements. The right grip is stamped with number 286, which matches the number on the frame. Functional mechanics. The bore is bright with crisp rifling and some scattered very fine spots and some light surface residue. There are traces of cartouches on each grip but I cannot tell if they are correct. I cannot see enough of them to know if the cartouches are real. I see no other military inspector marks on the gun. Good to very good overall.
