GR79-0323-4643, Colt M-1862 Police, .36 cal, 5 shot, fluted cylinder, 4 1/2 inch barrel.  #34xxx, all the numbers on the bottom of the gun, wedge, cylinder pin and back of cylinder match.  With about 50% grip varnish and otherwise show honest use marks. The barrel shows about 40% deep blue, with wear to high spots.   The cylinder has strong flashes of blue in flutes, about 15% blue on the cylinder. There is about 20% toned case color on the frame with flashes of bright case color peaking through. The bore is bright, shiny and crisply rifled with some light scattered residue in the bore. Very good + bore. Missing front site. If the gun hangs around I will send it to the smith to get a front site. Mechanics are functional. Cylinder locks up tight in the full cock position.  Fine overall, better than average.
