$5,500.00

GR-0624-6075, Single Wing Remington Beals Navy. Serial number 16x matches on the barrel, load lever, frame and trigger-guard. There is no number on the back of the cylinder, which is correct for a Remington. All matching serial numbers. Original German silver cone front site. .36 cal, 6 shot revolver. This is the finest one of this rare model we have handled. The left grip is a professional replacement, made of correct wood with excellent wood to metal fit. 50% deep blue mixing to dark chocolate patina. Toned case colors on the hammer. Light overall handling marks. Fine crisp markings and metal edges. The bore is bright, shiny, crisply rifled with a few fine spots and some light residue in a few spots. I can see some streaking blue in the bore too. Fine bore. Crisp tight mechanics. Fine to excellent in every way, and one of the hardest guns for a Remington or civil war gun collector to find. Remington only made about 200 of these early Beals in this configuration, I have seen a handful over the years that had been altered to fit a T shaped cylinder pin and a few unaltered ones but they are often in very rough shape. Finding one in any condition is tough, finding one unaltered and in fine condition is very difficult.
