GR-0425-6549, Smith and Wesson Model 3 Russian. .44 Russian cal. 6 shot. 7 inch barrel. Made 1874-1878. Walnut grips with cowboy decoration, overall moderate wear to grips. The gun retains about 15% original blue finish mixing to brown patina. Serial number 32,xxx on the frame and is stamped on the inside of the right grip. There are matching assembly numbers on the cylinder, barrel and latch. This is all correct and how the gun was originally configured. Crisp mechanics with functional safety position and tight cylinder lock up. Ejector functions crisply. The bore is bright, shiny, crisply rifled with some light scattered spots in bore. Very good bore. A popular side arm of the Old West. Very good to fine overall.
