GR-0125-6439, US Smith and Wesson 1st Model Schofield Revolver. Serial number 26xx matches on the frame, barrel, latch, cylinder and is on the inside of the right grip.  The number matches everywhere I can find it. The grip shows moderate bumps and dings with edge loss and a faint but visible cartouche. The gun retains about 5%-10% original blue and the rest of the gun is covered in a rich dark brown patina with overall moderate use marks. There are strong flashes of original case color on the hammer. The metal markings are all crisp and clear. The action is crisp and tight. Functional ejector. The bore is bright, shiny, crisply rifled with a few very fine pinpricks near the muzzle. Fine condition bore. Very good exterior and grades at Very Good overall.
