$2,500.00

079-0522-7864, Colt M-1860 Army .44, 6 shot, #78xxx matching on bottom of gun, cylinder and the wedge. The gun was made in 1862, early in the war. It shows 70% light scene, 25% rainbow hues on frame, lever and hammer. 8 inch barrel with visible cartouch on lightly cleaned grips. The grips show Confederate or frontier use, due to slots carved between the metal and wood. Union soldier could not do that, but often done by Rebels to slide a sling through the grip, so the gun would not be lost if dropped in battle. The gun is much better than average and hard to fine battle used Colt Army’s with case color. Very good to fine overall.
