GR-0325-6363, Remington Beals Navy. .36, 6 shot with 1858 patent date, crisp metal markings. There is a military inspector mark on the barrel and cylinder but nowhere else. The grips are civilian grips, they are original and wood to metal fit is very good. Most Navies were made for the civilian market. It is not uncommon to find military inspector marks on parts. The Remington factory would have used left over parts to put together guns for the civilian market. The grips show about 50% original varnish. The blue on the barrel and cylinder appear to be original with correct color and crisp edges. The frame has some color touchup. Serial number 14,xxx matches on the barrel, trigger-guard and frame. There is no number on the cylinder. The bore is bright, shiny, crisply rifled with fine scattered spots and light residue in bore. Very good bore. Crisp tight mechanics. Crisp tight mechanics, with 3 clicks, functional half cock and a very tight lock up in the full cock position. Better than average overall. Very good overall.
