GR-1024-6292, Remington Old Model Army, .44, 6 shot with German Silver front sight. It has an 1861 date in barrel address. The ramrod has been modified with a screw in the channel. This screw was not present in the original configuration. Overall dark chocolate patina with moderate bumps, dings and use marks. The left grip shows the entire cartouche with light overall wear to the grips. The action is crisp and tight. The bore is bright, shiny, crisply rifled with a few fine spots and some light scattered residue. Very good +bore and better than average. German silver front sight, 1861 barrel address, channeled lever and the taller hammer make this old model a true old model that has not been messed with. Serial number 74xx matches on the barrel, cylinder and frame. There is a clear cartouche on the left grip and military inspector marks everywhere they should. No question a Civil War veteran. Very good overall and a nice example of an Old Model Army.
