$2,000.00

GR-0324-6051, Colt M-1860 Army .44, 6 shot, made in 1863, #94xxx matching on the bottom of the gun, the cylinder, cylinder pin and the wedge. Smooth brown mixing to gray with very light handling marks. Excellent cylinder scene, 90% + strong scene. Fine grips, but the left grip appears to have been deliberately saddened down a long long time ago. It looks like it was done to take off the cartouche. This was not uncommon after the war to be done to guns by deserters or confederates. The wear and the color and patina built up on the grip is old. The rest of the gun has military inspector markings everywhere it should. Crisp tight action. The bore is bright and shiny with razor crisp rifling and a few very fine spots. Fine ++ bore. Clear markings, with sub-inspector markings on various parts of the gun. Much better than average and a handsome gun.
